: SEMANTIC AND TYPOLOGICAL SPECIFICS OF NEOLOGISMS OF COMPUTER-MEDIATED COMMUNICATION ...
... : The article explores English-language neologisms of computer-mediated communication. The aim of the research is to determine the semantic and typological features of new lexical units. The neologisms obtained by the method of targeted sampling were used as practical material. The study determines that neologisms are represented by quite diverse typological groups (neolexemes, neophrasemes and neosemes). An analysis of the corpus of factual material allowed for determining the most numerous lexical and semantic groups of neologisms. The practical application of the research and its theoretical significance lies in compiling lecture courses on lexicology, discourse theory, sociolinguistics. ...
